This project is growing... An American Mosaic!

I have been busy traveling and documenting people around the country. This is in Gary Hollow, West Virginia. The heart of Coal Country. My PEPONI.COM web site is updated with a lot of the images. I shoot video conversations and environments for this big project.

    Really enjoyed your video. A large percentage of the population has no ability to think critically, and never asked what it means to live a good life. That makes them vulnerable to political, religious and other cultural bullshit fads (american dream, etc.). When things change - as during the last recession - they feel lost or betrayed, and start looking for other bullshit to believe in or worse, looking for scapegoats. We are in a transition period right now. Too many cultural, technological and economic disruptions going on for most people to handle. Someone has to come up with a new religion/narrative for them to settle down again.
